Thank you for visiting our website. Our story begins when…We moved from majestic Colorado to the Northwoods of Wisconsin in 2001to acquire The Outdoorsman Restaurant & Inn. We have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years of combined experience.

Steve is an exceptional chef and connoisseur of wine. His experience includes years at an international hotel, fine dining and an Italian restaurant to name a few. My background includes a hospitality and restaurant degree from UW-Stout, working at a private resort/golf club and being a managing partner for an extremely successful national chain of restaurants. With extensive histories in so many different locations we have seen what works and what doesn’t. It had always been a dream of ours to own our own place where we could do things the way they should be done and provide the kind of experience we always look for when we dine out but rarely find.

We are passionate about the hospitality business itself but more passionate about creating a fabulous dining experience for our guests. We love food and strive to provide and serve the absolute best the market has to offer. We adore wine and have done in-depth research and attended a plethora of wine tasting events, to offer you the finest from around the world, seamlessly paired with selections from our menu.

We care deeply about the service we provide whether its bacon and eggs in the morning, a juicy grilled chicken sandwich in the afternoon or a roasted rack of lamb in the evening-your every need will be satisfied. This is what we do. This is what we know and this is what we love. Be our guest and join us for dinner. You can bring a group of friends, a loved one or come alone. We’ll light the fire for you in the winter or cool you off in the summer.

Our restaurant is our home and we kindly invite you to come and enjoy a dining experience with us. We will do all possible to make it one that you will remember and treasure. We continually strive to make The Outdoorsman the best restaurant in northern Wisconsin to enjoy amazing food, incredible ambiance and a wonderful time with friends and family set against the backdrop of the beautiful Northwoods.
